Ranch during the day and then barrel race that same night! Horses like him are hard to find with a lot of miles left on them.

17 year old ranch gelding that’s a 3D/4D open barrel horse. 2D/3D youth barrel horse. Suitable for a rancher or intermediate youth. He does have a lot of go and will give you all day.

My 71 year old dad rides him to ranch on and I’ve taught lessons on him. Willy is smooth and his trot covers a lot of ground, horses have to lope to keep up. He’s home raised and out of my High School Rodeo mare. He’s seen the sights with me from Alberta to Montana to Wyoming. Hauls well.

Willy has been rode in the feedlot and done everything there you could think of. He really wants to work, and doesn’t like to quit.

For barrels or poles he gets excited to go into the arena, but no bolt or rear. He’s a babysitter in the barrels and a great teacher. He slows down if you lean, but if you keep square he speeds up in his turn.

He needs minimal maintenance on his fronts, currently on Timothy grass hay, Hoffman’s pro fat and Roan and Co.’s Leg Up

He gets along with other geldings but can buddy up; however he does get over that pretty fast when he realizes he gets to go to work.
